Wish Your Sales Team Pain Video

Do you want growth for your sales team? As a leader, we need to allow our sales team to experience pain. Let me explain what I mean about wishing your sales team pain.

Andy Grammar is one of my favorite recording artists. He writes and sings about his life and I can relate to his songs. He is an optimistic song writer and keeps a positive spin which I value. He has an album called “Naive” and one of the songs on the album is, “Wish You Pain”. I avoided that song and then one day decided to listen. The message at first was confusing to me but after a few times of listening, I understood. He was wishing us pain because he knew that we can grow through pain.

In the business world, sales teams grow through their failures. If they don’t strive hard for a goal and then lose it, they don’t know the pain of not hitting a goal. As their manager, you can’t rescue or save them if you want growth for your sales team.

The message is, I wish your sales team pain that they can work and grow through and I also wish that you would support each other as you go through difficult times.

I was speaking with someone on the phone who had gone through some personal pain that I had also gone through. When they were sharing with me all of the emotions of that time came to mind. I could relate and empathize with them. I could support them and they could really feel that support because I had walked in their shoes.

In conclusion, work through your pain and allow your sales team to work through their pain. Support each other as you go through hard times. We will all grow and we will all get better and that is what we want; growth for your sales team.
